anyone who doesn't believe today is history doesn't matter to me.

today doesn't get an update.
it gets a talk about the inauguration.

i got to watch the inauguration of President Obama today in school.
i can truely say that I'm proud to be able to say that.
the world has come to the point where I can watch a black man be president
and that should make everyone of us proud as heck.

my mom and dad told me about some stuff last night.
seeing how my dad grew up in the South he got hit hard with segregation.
he told me about my aunt and the trouble she had when she went to the bathroom.
and they told me after i was done telling how mad people made me when they judge someone by the color of their skin, it was only 40 years ago.
i am not or ever going to say that it is bad to think some black's are racist.
because the fact is, yes they are.
but that doesn't excuse whites, there are racist white people as well.
the world thankfully isn't seperated by that anymore.
we can go to the same bathrooms.
we can eat at the same resturants.

i'm proud to tell people I have a black president.
that i am lead and have all trust in a black man
because i can tell you not many people can do this.
it's sad and if i could, i'd change it.
but i am not anyone else but myself
and i control only myself.
so i'm going to be proud i have a black president.
i'm going to smile when Obama does wonders for this country.
i'm going to be thankful that ignorance is not stopping this man from leadership.

i personally thought Obama's speech was great.
it was true, it was honest, it was raw.
there was not any candy coating or lies.
it was a man's hopes and goals spilled infront of millions.
i believe the Obama's will be a wonderful first family.
a man with so many dreams, so many words, and so much heart
deserves to lead my country, our country.
his skin, background, family, or life should not determine if he gets this opportunity.
he is an american citizen. he is allowed.

so for everyone that thinks a black man is not suite for this job,
for all the people who think a white man could do it better,
for everyone who doesn't believe in change,
you can just suck it up for four years
and you can be proven wrong.
